Bhartiya School of Maritime Studies (BSMS) was established as a specialized academic unit of Bhartiya Mahavidyalaya (founded in 2015) to address the urgent need for technically proficient, legally astute, and digitally adept managers in India's rapidly expanding maritime economy.
While merchant marine academies train crew and nautical officers for navigation at sea, modern global trade is steered onshore — inside automated container terminal control towers, chartering broking floors in Mumbai, Singapore, and London, multimodal logistics hubs, and customs bonded Inland Container Depots (ICDs).
Our PGDM in Maritime Logistics & Port Management is affiliated to Shri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University (SDSUV), an established UGC-approved state government university. The program bridges classical commercial management rigor with practical simulations of ocean freight logistics, port community systems, and international maritime contracts.
